The venue
Fábrica do Som
A converted sound factory on the waterfront: one enormous room, a terrace over the water, and acoustics built for volume. Ten minutes from Santa Apolónia.
Rua do Açúcar 76, Lisbon.
Getting there
Metro to Santa Apolónia (blue line), then a ten-minute walk east along the water. Rideshare drops at the door.
Staying over
We’ve a room block at two hotels in Alfama. Code on your ticket confirmation.
FAQ
The usual questions
Is it really one track?
Yes. One stage, both days - everyone sees every talk. No agonising over which room to be in.
Can I get a refund?
Full refund up to 30 days before. After that we’ll happily transfer your ticket to someone else.
Are talks recorded?
Every talk is recorded and sent to ticket-holders within a week. The hallway track is not recorded, for obvious reasons.
Is lunch included?
Both days - lunch, coffee, and the after-party are all in the ticket. Dietary needs on the registration form.
Do you have a student rate?
We hold back a block of student tickets each year. Email hello@signal.example with proof of enrolment.
Will it be busy?
Two hundred people, deliberately. Big enough for range, small enough that you’ll actually meet people.
